General Information
Isaac® systems establish a connection between the head and the shoulders. Actually, they connect between the helmet at one end and roll under the shoulder harness at the other end. The driver does not "wear" an Isaac® product, it becomes part of the harness system. Helmet connections are made with quick release pins so Isaac® can be used by any driver having a set of helmet mounts. Extra helmet mounts are available separately and are installed by the user. The system can be easily moved between vehicles. The Isaac® shock absorbers are custom designed and manufactured to specifications established after multiple computer simulations and laboratory crash tests. The Isaac® Link™ system uses mil spec parachute webbing rather than a shock absorber assembly.

Mounting instructions and all mounting hardware are provided to attach the mounts to the helmet. An exclusive aerospace-grade adhesive is also available for racers who do not wish to use nuts and bolts or drill holes in their helmet. No special tools are required.

Isaac® systems are available in several models: The Link™, Basic, Intermediate and Titanium models for adults, and the Kids!™ and Quarter Midget models for young drivers.

The Isaac® Link™ ($295)
The new Isaac® Link™ was designed for racers who are on a tight budget and want a good head and neck system, but don't want to invest in a great one. It doesn't work as well as other Isaac® systems, but is the best product every tested in the under $500 range. The Link™ uses certified mil spec parachute webbing (not dog leash material) in place of the damper assembly to reduce costs.

Basic Isaac® ($725)
The mounting structures are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and supplied with a black anodized coating. The shocks connect to the mounting structures with spherical rod ends CNC machined from 300 series stainless steel. The belt roller is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and the belt shear pin is made of 300 series stainless steel. The helmet connection detent pins are made of corrosion resistant 440C, 17-7PH and 300 series stainless steels meeting quality specifications QQ-S-763, AMS 5678, ASTM-A-313, or ASTM-A581/582.

These pins are installed and removed by applying a slight force to overcome spring pressure. They are as safe as other Isaac® pins, but not as convenient to use. This model can be upgraded to the Intermediate Isaac® by replacing the pins, which can be purchased separately.

The Basic Isaac® is shipped in a cardboard box with styrofoam packing material.

Intermediate Isaac® ($895)
The Basic and Intermediate models are identical except for the helmet connection pins. In this model, spring-loaded detent pins are replaced with positive-lock, quick-release pins. These pins are easily installed and removed by depressing a release button on the end of the pin. Optional dual-acting, push/pull quick-release pins are also available.

The helmet positive-lock, quick-release pins are military grade (MIL-Q9858) made of corrosion resistant 440C, 17-7PH and 300 series stainless steels meeting quality specifications QQ-S-763/766, QQ-A-225/6, QQ-A-225/5, AMS 5643/5657/5678, ASTM-A-313, or ASTM-A581/582.

The Intermediate Isaac® is shipped in a plastic case with foam padding.

Titanium Isaac® ($3,250)
The Titanium model is designed for extreme impact environments. It replaces the aluminum and stainless steel components of the other models with a special grade titanium alloy. This model is individually assembled for each racer with their choice of multiple style pins for both the helmet and belt connections. Call for details.

The increased performance of this model comes from the extensive use of a high-grade, corrosion-resistant titanium alloy known as "T64ELI", or Ti-6Al-4V ELI, per ASTM specification F-136. It is pure titanium alloyed with 6 percent aluminum, 4 percent vanadium and processed in an "extra low intersticial" manner to improve its corrosion resistance. This alloy has a very high strength-to-weight ratio and is used in nuclear reactors, military aircraft and structural biomechanical implants.

The Titanium Isaac® is shipped in a reusable, airtight, waterproof, impact-resistant container. It is supplied on a made-to-order basis. Allow six to eight weeks delivery. $500 (USD) deposit required.

Kids!™ Isaac® ($625/$795)
The Kids!™ Isaac® is identical to the Basic/Intermediate model, but uses shorter shock absorbers for the smaller driver. As the young driver grows, longer shocks can be used. They can't outgrow an Isaac® system. (Price depends on pin selection.)

Quarter Midget Isaac® ($625/$795)
Same as the Kids!™ Isaac®, but with a smaller belt connector for the 2" (50mm) belts found in quarter midget racers. (Price depends on pin selection.)

Isaac® Rental Program ($65*)
Want to try before you buy? Now you can. We will send you a complete new Isaac® system to try with your own helmet in your own car. Simply attach the temporary helmet mounts to your helmet with the provided double-sided tape. Other racers can also try it with their helmets, so feel free to pass it around at the track. (Rental Program not available for the Link™ model.)

Please note: Racers rent an Isaac® system because they want to see how it works, not because they expect to crash. The temporary tape used to attach the helmet mounts will not protect you in the event of a crash; they are for trial purposes only.

The package includes an Intermediate Isaac® system (our most popular model), samples of alternate helmet pins, temporary helmet mounts and a complete set of instructions. Also, we have a limited inventory of SA 2000-rated, full-face fiberglass helmets that are equipped with Isaac® mounts and are wired for radio communication. We can make these available if you prefer not to use your own helmet.
(Subject to availability.)

Just send everything back to us after your race weekend. The rental charge covers round-trip shipping, and you will be credited the charge when you puchase an Isaac® system within 60 days.

Warning: You won't like the Isaac® unless you compare it to other products, so try to borrow a competing product when you are at the track. Too bad other manufacturers don't let you try their products before you buy.

*Fine print: Subject to availability. Offer valid only for shipments within the continental United States. Contact us for r
ental charges to other destinations.
